Olga&Otis is a small, southern Persian cattery in Lafayette, Louisiana—created out of a love for Persians! All of our adults have been tested and are FeLv, FIV, and PKD negative. All kittens that leave Olga&Otis will have a Louisiana State Health Certificate, all age appropriate vaccinations, CFA Registration slip, copies of the parents pedigrees, and any other vaccination records.

All of our kittens will be raised in our home, with daily socialization and will be handled and use to little hands, as we have a 8 year old girl and 9 year old boy. If you are interested in a kitten, or would like to be on our waiting list, please send us an email, with a little information about yourself and any experience you have with Persians, and we will get back with you!

All of our kittens have had their age-appropriate vaccinations, and are healthy when placed. Shipped cats/kittens will receive a vet check & signed vet release prior to shipping.

do you ship?

We can ship kittens all over the U.S. It is an additional $450 for a flight nanny to hand-deliver your kitten to your nearest International airport. Contact us for more information.

how do i reserve a kitten?

If you see a kitten that you are interested in, please complete our Kitten Application Form. Upon receipt of your application, we will send you an invoice for the NON_REFUNDABLE deposit of $300, to hold your kitten until they reach 12 weeks of age. Your remaining balance is due before you pick up the kitten. Please note that ALL deposits are NON-REFUNDABLE. Once you reserve a kitten, I consider the kitten "SOLD" upon receiving your deposit. I accept each deposit in "good-faith", and therefore will be turning away other potential buyers on your behalf. All deposits can be made via PayPal, personal check, or a cashiers check. Final payments MUST be in the form of PayPal, Cashiers check, or Money Order and received no later than 2 weeks prior to kitten's placement. CASH REFUNDS ARE NOT GIVEN AT ANY TIME, FOR ANY REASON, so please be absolutely sure you are ready for a Persian kitten.

When do I get my kitten?

Kittens are available to go their forever homes at 12 - 16 weeks of age if shipped. If being picked up, kittens will be available to go home at 10 - 12 weeks of age.

a bit about the persian breed

Persian cats are the most lovable of all the cat breeds. Fun fact: They are also the most popular breed in the world! Persians are a medium-sized cat and usually have a weight range of 7 to 12 pounds. They are known for being quite and sweet. The Persian cat has a large, round head, round eyes, a short nose and full cheeks.

How do i care for a persian?

Persian cats require daily grooming. Their long, beautiful coats don't easily stay clean and tangle-free on their own. They require a gentle and thorough brushing daily and a bath at least once a month. Because of their flat faces, excessive tearing can be an issue, but wiping the corners of their eyes daily, certainly helps to prevent any under-eye staining.

Grooming

Here at Olga&Otis, we use several items on a daily basis to keep our babies clean and well groomed! The flea comb works wonders on their faces! We also use a soft bristle brush around the neck area and rest of the body to help with any loose hairs. Recommended to us by OpalReys (where Olga is from) in Arizona, we literally could not live without the Castle Bath products! We use the Castle Bath Face and Body Shampoo about once-a-week, and the Face Wash Daily!!!
